KBShimmer Fall 2015 Collection (Partial)

Hey y'all! The weather is finally starting to cool down a little here and I LOVE IT. Omg, I know everybody and their dog is talking about fall weather, sweater weather, pumpkin spice latte weather (tho I'm more of a salted caramel kinda gal), but fall is awesome because Texas becomes bearable for a few months and I can go outside and enjoy the gorgeous landscapes without melting into a puddle.

And it means Fall collections! In the past, I wasn't one for vampy fall colors, but I've learned to appreciate a few shades that are fall appropriate. It also helps that Indies put out some incredible collections each season! That's what I have for you all today! I'm sure you have seen the KBShimmer Fall release that came out several weeks ago, but if not, I have a few select polishes from that bunch to share with you all!

KBShimmer Dark & Twisty, Breaking Blues, Be Scareful (glow in the dark)

KBShimmer Dark & Twisty

Dark & Twisty is a black jelly filled with small rainbow glitters. For a black, it is such a fun polish! I could see it used for lots of not-too Halloween nail art designs, or if you like black and sparkly things, it is a definite winner! The formula was good, two coats for full opacity, no digging or fishing for glitter, no clumps or dragging. Smooth application and that awesome jelly squish. I topped it off with a generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top as it did dry down a bit bumpy from the glitter.

KBShimmer Breaking Blues

Breaking Blues is a saturated vivid blue with a hint of purple. On the PR info sheet it was described as a deep periwinkle, and honestly that is pretty spot on. The purple undertones make this blue really stand out among the cobalt crowd. I can safely say, that aside from Baker St., this is my hands-down fav blue! The formula was on the thicker side, a little too much for my taste. I did add a few drops of thinner to the bottle and then was able to get a good even application. I find that a lot of the KBShimmer creams have the same consistency. Super glossy when it dried, but as per habit, I applied COT to aid the dry time and seal it.

KBShimmer Be Scareful (glow in the dark)

Be Scareful is a white crelly with a mix of orange and black glitters in various shapes (hex, circle, triangle, star and shard). It may sound like a lot, but it actually works really well! This is a really fun Halloween-inspired crelly, much like the white crellies that KBShimmer is known for and even better, it glows in the dark! For that alone, I love it! Standard formula for a glitter/crelly polish. I needed two & 1/2 coats dabbed for full coverage. I did have to fish out the bigger glitters - stars and triangle in order to get a good representation of each kind on my nails, but the finished look is really cute. Again, a nice, thick coat of COT to even out the glitters and seal the nail.

(Macro/Glowing)

The whole collection is really great and there are some definite winners among it. I totally recommend Breaking Blues, it is just a badass color!
