Takko Lacquer Fall 2015 Collection

Hey y'all! So I have a big swatch post for you guys today! Takko Lacquer is restocking the fall collection this week as well as a few new colors. When the fall collection released, my package was stuck at a USPS processioning facility and I wasn't able to get them swatched before hand.

Since they are being restocked, I figured now would be a great time to share them and we can all ogle over them together!

Madam Glam Swatch Spam (pt.1)

Hi guys and gals! Hope you all are having a great Friday! I am so glad it's the weekend, I need a break from running all over the place! Plus the weather is rainy and chilly, and I loooove to curl up and read on days like this.

Today I have part one of a two part post filled with swatches of polish from Madam Glam. I received a total of eight polishes to review and to save my cuticles and my sanity, I split them into two posts. And because I can't wait, I started with my favorite colors first!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Rodarte NYFW Collaberation

Hey y'all! So jelly polishes are making a comeback in the nail world with OPI color paints, Essie color silks and the Sally Hansen x Rodarte NYFW trio. The cool thing about jelly polish is that you can do some really pretty "watercolor" looks with them!

I have the Rodarte trio for review today, and while the colors may seem a little unusual, they make for a really pretty, delicate mani!

Twinsie Tuesday: Ocean Inspired

Hey everyone! I am trying to get back into this blogging thing - though still feeling a need to take it slow. So for right now, I am sticking with Twinsie Tuesday themes and the occasional swatch/review post until I feel more comfortable posting (and all the extra stuff that goes along with posting) on a regular basis. I took the time off to spend the last few weeks of summer with my family but, ultimately, I think I was on the verge of being burnt out. Taking a break has done a lot of good, but I'm still not ready to through myself back into the furnace quite yet. I understand if that's not something you want to deal with, but I do appreciate those of you who do stick around and are patient.

For this week's theme, the Twinsies are posting nail art inspired by the ocean. As it so happened, I had saved this mani on Pinterest a while back and immediately knew it would be my inspiration for today's post.

Used:

Look Nail Color - Oh Say Can You See
China Glaze - Water You Waiting For

Look Nail Color - Broad Stripes, Bright Stars
MoYou London - Sailor Collection #3

I am a sucker for a good jelly sandwich and the idea of putting a stamped design over the top is just perfection! I am also really happy to have the first nail art attempt in a very long while turn out so nicely.

And as always, be sure to check out all the lovely ladies of the Twinsie Tuesday nail art group and their oceanic inspired nail art!

Friday Favorites: Orange

Hi friends! I am back today with another Favorites post. The fav color for this one is orange. I love a good orange polish, it is probably one of my favorite colors to wear in the summer time - especially if the orange is bright or sparkly! And that is exactly what kind of polish I picked out for my top four favorites!

Takko Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection Part 2

Hey guys and gals! Today I have the second part of the new Takko Lacquer summer collection! On Monday, I showed you all the neons and bright of the bunch, and now I have a nude, a pastel and a jelly, oh my!

I also have for review the new Takko Lacquer top coat! Since all takkitos are now infused with Vitamin E, they dry down to a satin finish, and need to be topped with a glossy top coat to bring out the beauty of the polish. Sugar High is a high shine scented top coat give all takkitos that glossy finish!

Takko Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection Part 1

Hey guys and gals! So if you have come to my blog looking for the new Takko Lacquer summer release, you are in for a treat! Today I have part 1 of 2 posts for the new summer colors to be released June 18th at 8pm EST.

The entire collection is flat out gorgeous, as always. It has a variety of different finished, neon, jelly, flakie, shimmer, holo and glitter, so there is something for everyone. And now all Takko Lacquer polishes are infused with Vitamin E (on top of being 5-free and vegan) to help promote strong, healthy nails. The only noticeable change is that the polishes are slightly thicker and dry to a satin finish. They all still apply fantastic and now have the added bonus of actually making your nails better from the inside too! How cool is that? I don't think I have ever heard or seen a polish that does that.

One more thing before we get to the swatches. Along with the seven new polishes in the summer release, Takko Lacquer is introducing a new high shine scented top coat called Sugar High. I will post a full review along with the other three polishes on Wednesday but  I used the new top coat for all the swatches in both posts.

And now, sit back and enjoy all the drool-worthy goodies I have for you all today!

Friday Favorites: Red

Hi friends! As promised, today's post is the first part of a new weekly series sharing my favorites from my stash! I decided to go by color, finish and then by brand. So hopefully I will get to use some neglected polish over the next several weeks, and you guys might find a new color or three to try!

Since we're starting with color, the first Favorites post is my fav red polishes! If you have read my blog for a while, you probably know that red isn't a shade I naturally gravitate towards. Over the last few years of polish collecting, I have come across a few reds that I do actually like. Although only one of them is a cream finish, lol! I do like my polish to have a little something extra!

Twinsie Tuesday: Jelly Sandwich

Hi friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your week! I am feeling a bit frantic, honestly. So many things are going on right now, lots of social/school stuff that has left me little overwhelmed! I am more of an introvert and prefer the comforts of home to a crazy, busy social life. But having little things like my blog help to unwind and de-stress from time to time. Even if my posts are a little later than planned.

Speaking of posting later than planned, I finally have today's Twinsie Tuesday post done! Technically it was supposed to publish this morning at 8am...but I suck. Anyway, the theme this week is Jelly Sandwich! Like most nail aficionados, I love a good jelly!

Zoya New Year New Hue Promo Haul

Hi friends. Oh man I am so behind in posting these, lol! At least twice a year, Zoya ( a.k.a. the best mainstream polish ever) has a three-free promo where you pick three polishes and just pay shipping. It is a super sweet deal and I almost always take advantage! For new year's Zoya offered the three-free promo again, which include a free mini trio as well (swatches of those to come). I took the opportunity to complete the Ignite collection and score the three I was missing - Autumn, India and Remy.

Indigo Bananas Swatch Spam

Hi friends! How was your weekend? It was so frickin cold and wet the whole time! I don't mind cold weather, but when it is cold and rainy, I get whiny, lol!

Today I have some swatches from the indie brand, Indigo Bananas! This is a long post with a lot of pictures, so be prepared! I selected four different polishes to swatch from the current offerings that, I think, best represent the brand. And not to spoil the post or anything, they are all really great!

Twinsie Tuesday: Pond Mani

Hello guys and gals! Welcome to the first Tuesday of the new year! The Twinsies took a break over the holidays, but we are back for our weekly themed posts. And we even have new members! Welcome Amanda (from  Fashion Footing), Beckie (from Polished by Beckie ) and Savannah (from Addicted to Polish)! I am super excited to get to know you girls and see your awesome posts every week!

This week’s theme is a pond mani - a design layered in between jelly polish so that it appears to be floating.  This is a fairly new technique in the nail world and I was super excited to try it out!

O.P.I. Today I Accomplished Zero

Hi friends! How was your weekend? Did you partake in any of the awesome polish sales? I actually skipped out this year because I may or may not have gone on a spending spree a few weeks ago! Today's polish being one of them. I picked up O.P.I.'s Today I Accomplished Zero at my local Ulta, but never wore it.

As you can see, I am back to squared nubs. I broke off much of the nail on my ring finger yesterday. Shorty squares look so great with a dark and edgy polish, so I grabbed Today I Accomplished Zero since it was sitting in my untried pile. I really don't know how to feel about going short and square - I really love the longer round nails I had, but this polish is making me feel a little better!

Takko Lacquer Dark Paradise (Llarowe Exclusive)

Hey y'all! So I am a bit excited about today's post. I have been sitting on this for a few weeks now and I am finally able to show you guys! Along with the new Takko Lacquer polish I recently reviewed (you can read all about them here and here), Sheryl also sent me a polish that will be sold exclusively through Llarowe.

Zoya Muse

Hey everyone! I have a short and simple post today. I still have a ridiculous amount of polish to swatch from birthday swaps and purchases, so I am sharing one today. As part of the Twinsie Tuesday group birthday exchange, I received Zoya Muse from Chelsea from Nailed Blog. The entire Zoya Bubbly collection is on my wish list and I am super excited that I have one now. I just need the rest of them, lol!

KB Shimmer Sea You Around

Hey everyone! Today I have one of the new polishes from the KB Shimmer second summer collection. Both collections (early summer and late summer releases) include some fantastic colors and glitters, it was soooo hard to choose just a couple and not spend my entire bank account balance!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use.

KB Shimmer Sea You Around

Sea You Around is a vivid green jelly with teal undertones and loaded with silver, fuchsia, and light blue circle and hex glitters in various sizes, light blue square glitters, and holo micro glitters. It is probably one of the most epic jelly glitters in my stash. Formula was good, considering the amount of glitter in the bottle. This is two coats with a little glitter dabbing for better placement. And as always with this type of polish, finish with a good thick and shiny top coat to smooth out all the glitter and give it a high shine. I used the KB Shimmer Clearly On Top for these pictures.

(Macro)

The rest of the KB Shimmer late summer release is just as impressive and drool worthy and I can guarantee that several more will be making their way to my helmer in the very near future!

KB Shimmer nail polish is available on line. Products retail from $7.50 to $8.75 a piece.

Hare Polish Test Your Love

Hello friends!! Happy Wednesday! Summer break is here and I am so ready for some fun! As much as I love my free time when the girlie is in school, I am so looking forward to having time to sleep in and spend some extra time with her. I can predict a lot of nail polish parties in our future!

Today I have a lovely Hare Polish to show you all, another one from The Coin Operation collection from last fall. I already have Read My Biorhythm and Zoltar Speaks from the same collection and super excited to add Test Your Love to it!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use.

Test Your Love is a raspberry jelly loaded with gold, silver and iridescent micro flakies. The color is fun and has just enough squish to be interesting. Combine that with the flakie mix and it is a flat out stunner!  I can't believe it took me this long to get it! Formula was great and from what I remember, pretty much the same as the previous two from the collection that I have. Because of the jelly base, it is on the sheer side, but not terribly so. Three coats for full opacity with a smooth application. It dries to a satin finish, so be sure to add a shiny top coat!

So now I just need one more to finish the collection - Peepshow Magique, and the hoarder that I am is determined to grab it! But other than that, Nicole has been cranking out some true beauties lately and the shop is selling out quickly! So next time you are browsing the Hare Polish listings on Etsy, don't hesitate to put one of the lovely bottles in your cart!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use. All opinions are my own. For more info, please read my disclaimer.

Hare Polish is available on line via Etsy. Products retail for $10 a piece.

Saturday Snapshots: Pink Jelly Layers

Hey everybody! How's your Saturday?

Despite my posting on a regular basis, I have each day sort of earmarked for what type of post I will write up, except for Saturday. More often than not, I have manis that really don't fall into the swatch/review or nail art category and they don't end up on the blog. See what I'm going for here - a quickie post to fill up that Saturday slot! Yay!

O.P.I. Sheer Tints Be Magentale With Me & China Glaze Surprise Glimmer More

Nothing is better than a squishy jelly sandwich for a quickie mani. The O.P.I. Sheer Tints and the China Glaze Surprise glitters are made for each other!

What is your favorite quick mani?
