Hey guys and gals! So if you have come to my blog looking for the new Takko Lacquer summer release, you are in for a treat! Today I have part 1 of 2 posts for the new summer colors to be released June 18th at 8pm EST.
The entire collection is flat out gorgeous, as always. It has a variety of different finished, neon, jelly, flakie, shimmer, holo and glitter, so there is something for everyone. And now all Takko Lacquer polishes are infused with Vitamin E (on top of being 5-free and vegan) to help promote strong, healthy nails. The only noticeable change is that the polishes are slightly thicker and dry to a satin finish. They all still apply fantastic and now have the added bonus of actually making your nails better from the inside too! How cool is that? I don't think I have ever heard or seen a polish that does that.
One more thing before we get to the swatches. Along with the seven new polishes in the summer release, Takko Lacquer is introducing a new high shine scented top coat called Sugar High. I will post a full review along with the other three polishes on Wednesday but I used the new top coat for all the swatches in both posts.
And now, sit back and enjoy all the drool-worthy goodies I have for you all today!

Takko Lacquer Electric Flamingo, El Nopal, Floridazed & Afternoon Delight
Takko Lacquer Electric Flamingo
Electric Flamingo is a neon pink jelly with red/green flakies. Neon jelly and flakies?!? Ugh I can barely contain myself. This is two smooth coats. There is a tiny bit of VNL (visible nail line) that showed up more in my photos after two coats. If it bothers you, a third would get that covered. Because of the new formulation, this dried to a satin finish, so be sure to top it off with a glossy top coat.

Takko Lacquer El Nopal
El Nopal is a neon lime green with gold/green flakies. This green is everything! I haven't seen a neon green like this before. OMG, you guys. The flakies aren't as noticeable in this compared to Electric Flamingo, but the way they look against the green is flat out stunning. This was a little patchy on the first two coats, but smoothed out beautifully on the third. Again, it dried to a satin finish.

Takko Lacquer Floridazed
Floridazed is a faded neon turquoise with a bright pink shimmer. This reminds me sooooo much of RBL Aqua Lily but sadly, it does not sit among my RBL army to compare. Floridazed is a lot brighter and the shimmer stands out way more in person. My camera kind of washed out the pinkiness of it. Lame, I know. Two smooth coats for full coverage while drying to a satin finish.

Takko Lacquer Afternoon Delight
Afternoon Delight is a faded neon coral with a chunky green shimmer. You guys know my undying love for coral polish. And each one that I have holds a very special place in my heart. But this. This polish just kills the rest. I want to wear it for ever. I was actually very sad when I had to take this off to swatch the rest of the collection! Two smooth and buttery coats and dries to a satin finish.

DAT SHIMMAH!
So Wednesday will be the rest of the collection along with the top coat review. That way, you all can recover from heart palpitations that these gave you, lol! And then you can set those alarm clocks for the launch on June 18th!
