Takko Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection Part 2

Hey guys and gals! Today I have the second part of the new Takko Lacquer summer collection! On Monday, I showed you all the neons and bright of the bunch, and now I have a nude, a pastel and a jelly, oh my!

I also have for review the new Takko Lacquer top coat! Since all takkitos are now infused with Vitamin E, they dry down to a satin finish, and need to be topped with a glossy top coat to bring out the beauty of the polish. Sugar High is a high shine scented top coat give all takkitos that glossy finish!

Takko Lacquer Birthday Suit, Constellations, Xocomil and Sugat High

Takko Lacquer Birthday Suit

Birthday Suit is a taupe nude with a delicate golden shimmer and a subtle linear holo. No matter how hard I tried, I could not get a good picture of this polish! It pulls more yellow on me and looks like a khaki nude color. The shimmer and holo are definitely more noticeable in person, this is not one of those "hidden shimmers" but I was unable to capture it. So sorry, you guys! This is two smooth coats followed by Sugar High since it does dry to a satin finish.

Takko Lacquer Constellations

Constellations is a deep blue jelly with tiny silver flakies. Swoon! The simplicity of this polish is just divine! Since it is a jelly, I needed three coats for full squishy opacity. The formula was a little thicker than the other two as well, but definitely not an issue. It applied just as smooth as every other takkito! As with the others, it does dry down to a satin finish so be sure to top coat for a glossy jelly shine!

Takko Lacquer Xocomil

Xocomil is a bright pastel periwinkle purple with silver shimmer. This is such a gorgeous purple! It does pull a little more blue in my photos, but if you have ever tried to accurately capture a purple like this, you know my pain! This is two perfect, smooth coats, followed by a coat of Sugar High for a glossy finish.

Takko Lacquer Sugar High Top Coat with Birthday Suit

Sugar High is a high shine scented top coat that is new to the Takko Lacquer line up. I used it to swatch all of the summer collection and a few other times so I could really get a good feel for the product. First off, this is a scented top coat, so if you don't like that sort of thing, this is not for you. The scent is awesome though, a delicious strawberry marshmallow scent inspired by Sheryl's favorite macarons from Lauduree. It isn't overpowering though, just a lightly sweet smell!

The top coat dries fairly quick, not as fast as my current go-to KBShimmer Clearly On Top, but still fast enough that I don't have to worry about denting my polish five minutes after. I also had no issues with shrinkage or tip pull. This is a HUGE deal for me because almost every single tc I have ever used causes shrinkage. I have wacky body chemistry. It dries super shiny, and glass-like. More so than COT.

The only down-side to an otherwise perfect top coat is that it does smear nail art a little. I used it on my TT blobicure post on Tuesday and it did smear the design a little. I plan on doing more nail art tests with it and post everything in my top coat guide that (hopefully one day) I will have on my blog.

So that's it for the Takko Lacquer summer collection! They are scheduled to launch tomorrow June 18th at 8pm EST. Set those alarms because this is going to go fast!
