Takko Lacquer New Colors Part 1

Hey guys and gals! How is your Monday going? Well I have a post that will potentially make it awesome, or cause anxiety over the lemmings it will create. Who knows!

Those of us in the polishing world know and obsessively love the amazing indie brand, Takko Lacquer. I have been devout fan since the very beginning and while I don't have all the takkitos, I am rather fond of my little army. To this day, I still reach for a Takko when I want a badass mani. They are all dearly loved.

With this newest release, I am convinced all over again that Sheryl has a gift for creating wearable art. The colors are outstanding and unlike any other Indie brand. So grab a napkin, kids. You will be drooling by then end of the post.

Takko Lacquer Lavender Macaron, Curiouser & Curiouser, Let Them Eat Cake

Takko Lacquer Lavender Macaron

Lavender Macaron is a delicate lavender jelly with soft silvery white flakies. Can we all just stop for a moment to bask in the absolute perfection of this polish?!? It is beautiful and oh so dreamy, I never ever want to take it off! You can be sure this will be in heavy rotation in my stash. The formula is nice and smooth without any drag from the flakies. It goes on relatively sheer the first coat, but after a thicker second coat, I was able to get full opacity. Depending on how you polish, you may need a third coat.

(Matte finish with Sally Hansen Big Matte Top Coat)

And I had to matte this lovely too. Just so I could show you guys those absolutely gorgeous flakies. Sigh....

Takko Lacquer Curiouser & Curiouser

Curiouser & Curiouser is a mint green with bright green shimmer. Oh my god you guys, that shimmer is something else. It dances and sparkles all over the frickin place. I am such a sucker for mint green polishes and then to top it off, one that has this insane shimmer to it and I'm a total goner! The formula was a little streaky, but nothing too serious. I ended up with three coats to completely cover my nails, but it all leveled out nicely!

Takko Lacquer Let Them Eat Cake over Takko Lacquer Baby Cakes

Let Them Eat Cake is a glitter topper in a clear base containing gold, white, sky blue and aqua glitters in various shapes and sizes. This may seem like your typical gold and aqua glitter, but it is far from it. Leave it to Sheryl to take the ordinary and make it fabulous. The addition of the circle glitters (large holo gold and small satin aqua) plus the white satin hex and blue matte hex glitters really makes this one stand out in the crowd. It just looks so lavish and decadent! The formula was fantastic. This is one coat slightly dabbed on over Baby Cakes (cause that color combo ftw). I did have to do some minor fishing for the larger gold circles, but it is to be expected.

Aren't they all just magnificent?!? I have two more new colors coming up on Wednesday so you guys will have a chance to check out all five of the new colors before the launch Wednesday night (8:30 pm EST)!
