Rainbow Gradient Glitter Placement with Born Pretty Neon Circle Glitter

Hey all! Hope you guys are having a great week! It has been super hectic around here with school stuff and the Mr.'s job change (his last day at the old place was yesterday, eep!) and I am trying to muddle my way through, haha! But I am managing to find a few moments to blog and catch up on social media. Though I am not as active as I wish I were. So thanks to you all who don't give up on me if I don't have the time to be around as much!

Today I have more goodies from Born Pretty. This time around, I went a little more complex and used a glitter pot full of neon circle glitter!

Takko Lacquer New Colors Part 1

Hey guys and gals! How is your Monday going? Well I have a post that will potentially make it awesome, or cause anxiety over the lemmings it will create. Who knows!

Those of us in the polishing world know and obsessively love the amazing indie brand, Takko Lacquer. I have been devout fan since the very beginning and while I don't have all the takkitos, I am rather fond of my little army. To this day, I still reach for a Takko when I want a badass mani. They are all dearly loved.

With this newest release, I am convinced all over again that Sheryl has a gift for creating wearable art. The colors are outstanding and unlike any other Indie brand. So grab a napkin, kids. You will be drooling by then end of the post.

KB Shimmer Sea You Around

Hey everyone! Today I have one of the new polishes from the KB Shimmer second summer collection. Both collections (early summer and late summer releases) include some fantastic colors and glitters, it was soooo hard to choose just a couple and not spend my entire bank account balance!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use.

KB Shimmer Sea You Around

Sea You Around is a vivid green jelly with teal undertones and loaded with silver, fuchsia, and light blue circle and hex glitters in various sizes, light blue square glitters, and holo micro glitters. It is probably one of the most epic jelly glitters in my stash. Formula was good, considering the amount of glitter in the bottle. This is two coats with a little glitter dabbing for better placement. And as always with this type of polish, finish with a good thick and shiny top coat to smooth out all the glitter and give it a high shine. I used the KB Shimmer Clearly On Top for these pictures.

(Macro)

The rest of the KB Shimmer late summer release is just as impressive and drool worthy and I can guarantee that several more will be making their way to my helmer in the very near future!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use. All opinions are my own. For more info, please read my disclaimer.

KB Shimmer nail polish is available on line. Products retail from $7.50 to $8.75 a piece.

Delush Polish Spring Collection Medusa's Verde

Hey friends! I have another Delush Polish to share with you all today! Along with Fleur De Peche, I also grabbed Medusa's Verde from the Spring Awakening collection.

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use.

Delush Polish Medusa's Verde

Medusa's Verde is a spring green with green, gold and copper hex glitters, gold circle glitters (love!!) and green shimmer. Dead. This is everything I love about Indie polish. It is fun and unique and seriously gorgeous. The glitter mix is the perfect contrast to the shimmery base. I've worn it twice now, and have gotten loads of compliments both times. Formula was pure awesomeness. Two smooth coats with perfect glitter distribution. You can't really get better than that!

(Macro)

It's such a great polish and it just makes me happy whenever I wear it! There is nothing else like it out there and that's what makes Indie polish so much fun and worth spending a couple of extra bucks on. And with brands like Delush, the Indie market is seriously killing it and I am totally okay with that!

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use. All opinions are my own. For more info, please read my disclaimer.

Medusa's Verde and the rest of the Delush Polish Spring Awakening collection is available on line. Products retails for $4.50 (for minis) and $8.95 (for full size) a piece.

Pipedream Polish Halloween 2013 - She's A Thriller and Feed The Monster

Hey friends! Hope you all are having a fun weekend! Nothing exciting going on here, I'm kinda boring and usually a home body! Though I am really excited for Halloween this Thursday, and have some holiday appropriate polish to share. I sure hope you all aren't tired of Pipedream Polish, because I am definitely not!

Please Note: Products were provided at a discount by the company/creator for review purposes.

Pipedream Polish - She's A Thriller (Halloween 2013)
over Zoya - Darcy/Wet n Wild - The Clock Strikes Orange gradient

She's A Thriller is a black and white glitter topper that has circle glitters! Yep, circle glitters. You know I love them! It is of course, a perfect polish. No typical issues, and I even got the larger circles out without having to fish for them! One coat is all that is needed for this amount of coverage, no dabbing at all. Oh, if only all glitter toppers were this good! I decided to do a little Halloween gradient for the base, and it turned out pretty awesome, I think! As far as I know, this is not an LE and there are still some available.

Pipedream Polish - Feed The Monster (Halloween 2013)
over O.P.I. - Incognito In Sausalito

Feed The Monster is an orange, fuchsia and gun metal glitter topper with hex glitters in various sizes. Sadly, this beauty was LE and is now sold out. As much as I hate sharing stuff that is no longer available, I did so for the purpose of overall review and to show the consistency of quality. It is very rare to find a mainstream company that continually puts out top notch products, but this Indie brand is doing that. It is on par with every other Pipedream Polish in my stash, and not a single one has let me down in beauty or performance. So even though, you can't get this particular polish, there is a wonderful selection to choose from, and I know you won't be disappointed!

I am actually rather spoiled now, by April's creations. But that's okay! Just means that I am getting awesome goodies!

Pipedream Polish Color Portrait World

Hey friends! Hope you are all having a fantastic week! There weather has been ahhhhmazing! I love fall!

Today, I have another gorgeous Pipedream Polish to share, from the most recent fall collection - Like The Weather. You can read my previous review of Time In A Tapestry, here.

Please Note: Products were provided at a discount by the company/creator for review purposes.

Pipedream Polish - Color Portrait World

Color Portrait World is a deep indigo blue jelly loaded with silver and fuchsia circle glitters in various sizes. So, automatically, I love it because circle glitters, right?! But it goes beyond that. This is definitely one of the most amazing and truly beautiful polishes in my 300+ collection. I even stopped in the middle of swatching to message April and let her know. As with every single Pipedream Polish I own, the formula was outstanding. I was a little worried it would be on the sheer side, but nope, 2 coats and complete coverage. Perfect glitter ratio, though I did have to do some minor fishing for the larger circles, but nothing drastic because there is a ton of them in the bottle. It is also shiny as hell, so I apologize for the glare!

Matte

A nice pic of Color Portrait World mattefied so you can see the incredible depth of this baby. Thanks to a little trick I learned from my IG pal, Amy/Mcpolish.

If you haven't grabbed any Pipedream Polish yet, go now and get this beauty! You will be hooked for sure and you will understand the love we (April's fan club/stalkers) have for this outstanding Indie!

KBShimmer What's Your Damage

Hey everyone! I have another KBShimmer for you guys! Monday I posted a review of The Dancing Green and today is the awesome What's Your Damage.

Please Note: Products shown were purchased by me for my personal use.

KBShimmer What's Your Damage

KBShimmer - What's Your Damage

What's Your Damage is a milky polish with black, neon green and pink large hex, pink square, black circle and black shard glitters. OMFG it is amaze-balls. I have been hesitant over the neon glitter thing going on in Indie Polish Land, but this is frickin awesome. The contrast of the black glitter really does it for me. Total badass vibe. I layered 2 coats over 2 coats of MBSW to make it completely opaque. Personal preference, you could totally build this up by itself. The glitter was a little finicky and I had to fish/dab for my application. Everything else was perfect. Finish off with a nice thick top coat, the larger glitters and the shards tend to poke up a bit.

KBShimmer The Dancing Green

Hey y'all, happy Monday! This weekend was super short and went by way too fast for me. But it was fun while it lasted! Today I have one of the awesome new summer KBShimmer polishes to share! KBShimmer is one of my absolute fav Indie polish brands and I am constantly impressed by the creativity and quality that comes with each new collection. The summer collection is no different. It is full of awesome colors and glitter combos, as well as new wax finish neons, all inspired by the bold fashion trends of the 80's and 90's. You can read all about the inspiration and see bottle shots in the press release, here. I did a little birthday shopping and snagged a couple bottles for myself and one for an upcoming giveaway!!!

KBShimmer - The Dancing Green

The Dancing Green is a crazy bright green jelly loaded with circle, square and hex glitters in fuchsia, lime green, gold, and navy blue. We all know how I feel about green polish and circle glitter, so it's no secret that I needed this polish. Seriously, it's gorgeous. And so perfect for summer! Formula was a bit on the thin side. This is 3 coats, and there is a tiny bit of VNL still. It would work well over green undies ( Revlon Posh is a great green cream) to remedy the issue. Because of the this base, I did have to fish for glitter. I basically did a normal first coat, and then dabbed for the second and third. A couple coats of a good shiny topper, and your set!

The only gripe I have is the square glitter kept getting stuck in the brush. Overall, it does require a bit of work, but in the end, I think it is totally worth it. The finished result is so eye catching!

More 31 day challenge posts (I am almost done!!!) as well as the other KBShimmer I grabbed - What's Your Damage are in the line up for this week! And Fashion Friday is making a return! Lots of good stuff, so be sure you are keeping up with me on twitter, IG and Blog Lovin' (links are in the right sidebar for your convenience) so you don't miss out!

KBShimmer Pastel Me More & Get Clover It

Hello all, happy April! I have two spring Indie polishes for today. KBShimmer recently released a fantastic collection of colorful glitter and pastel polishes. I snagged my two favorites to show you guys!

Please Note: All products in this post were purchased by me for my own personal use.

KBShimmer Pastel Me More over Revlon Urban

Pastel Me More is a glitter bomb of rainbow pastel glitters in various sizes. I have been looking for a versatile glitter and this totally works! It looks good over both light and dark colors. The formula is fabulous. Perfect consistency, no dragging or clumping. One smooth coat and no need to fish for glitter. It also dries very smooth. I didn't need to use Gelous or anything other than my current top coat (Sally Hansen Insta-Dry).

KBShimmer Get Clover It over Revlon Posh

Get Clover It is an emerald green jelly with sparse green micro glitter and small gold, green and blue circle glitter. I told you I was circle glitter obsessed! Not to mention that it is green and I love all things green, so I automatically love it. The formula wasn't easy though. It is very thin, almost runny and does not hold the glitter at all. I layered 2 coats over Revlon Posh (a great green, btw!) and still had to fish for glitter. I have worn it alone using 3 coats, but I feel that it looks best layered, and seems to work better this way as well. As much as I love the concept, I am sadly disappointed with it. Boo.

I am happy to continue adding to my Indie polish stash. There are so many incredible brands out there, that it can be kinda hard to choose from. But KBShimmer really stands out, at least for me. Especially since there are circle glitters, lol!

KBShimmer is available online. Polish retails for $8.75

Elevation Polish Marmolada

Hello all! Happy frickin Friday! This week has just flown by! I've got so many things going on right now, that I am losing track of time. Can't believe I've managed to get a blog post up almost every day. That's like a record or something! Today, I have circle glitter!!!! YASS! My obsession with circle glitter is going strong, and it ain't showin any signs of stopping, so be prepared for an onslaught in the posts to come!

Please Note: All products in this post were purchased by me for my own personal use.

Elevation Polish - Marmolada over Julep - Julianne

Marmolada is a smokey blue grey jelly base with medium and large silver and aqua circle glitters and small purple hex glitters. This is true love, right here, people. There is no amount of words for how awesome this polish is. The color is prefect, the glitter mix is perfect, and it doesn't give me lobster hands! Most blue/grey polishes do, but the base color is just bright enough to look fantastic. I did layer this over Julep Julianne, which is nearly identical, but a tiny bit softer. I probably didn't need to layer, and could have gotten full opacity with Marmolada on it's own, but wanted to make sure I got total coverage. Formula is a good, even consistency, and flowed nicely. No issues with dragging or clumping from the glitter. The larger pieces did give me some issue and I had to fish for them, but nothing super irritating. Good dry time and smooth with one coat of Julep Freedom top coat (my current fav for glitters).

I am growing quite fond of this brand and it's gorgeous glitters (circles!!!). I will be back for more!

Elevation Polish is available online. Polish is restocked on the 7th & 22nd of each month. Prices range from $6 to $10.
