Hare Polish Test Your Love

Hello friends!! Happy Wednesday! Summer break is here and I am so ready for some fun! As much as I love my free time when the girlie is in school, I am so looking forward to having time to sleep in and spend some extra time with her. I can predict a lot of nail polish parties in our future!

Today I have a lovely Hare Polish to show you all, another one from The Coin Operation collection from last fall. I already have Read My Biorhythm and Zoltar Speaks from the same collection and super excited to add Test Your Love to it!

Test Your Love is a raspberry jelly loaded with gold, silver and iridescent micro flakies. The color is fun and has just enough squish to be interesting. Combine that with the flakie mix and it is a flat out stunner!  I can't believe it took me this long to get it! Formula was great and from what I remember, pretty much the same as the previous two from the collection that I have. Because of the jelly base, it is on the sheer side, but not terribly so. Three coats for full opacity with a smooth application. It dries to a satin finish, so be sure to add a shiny top coat!

So now I just need one more to finish the collection - Peepshow Magique, and the hoarder that I am is determined to grab it! But other than that, Nicole has been cranking out some true beauties lately and the shop is selling out quickly! Hare Polish Bisbee 2.0

Hey everyone! Happy Saturday! My weekend plans involve painting of a different kind! We are doing a bit of remodeling, and I am super excited! It has been an ongoing project to redo my daughter's room and give her a super cool space that is just or her. It has taken a long time, but we are finally ready to paint and put together the last of the finishing touches. I cannot wait to see what it all looks like once we are 100% done. I'm hoping to make it a birthday present for her in July.\

Recently, I have been on a lemming busting spree and managed to knock out a few coveted polishes, which is always exciting! One in particular, isn't a HTF or discontinued, just something I have been putting off purchasing for some unknown reason. Part of my holiday gift haul included two more Hare Polish babies, one being Bisbee 2.0, a lemming from pretty much the start of my collection career. Like I said, it was never not available, I just never grabbed it, until now!

Hare Polish - Bisbee 2.0

Bisbee 2.0 is a bright turquoise jelly with golden shimmer and yellow gold square and hex glitters. This is an updated version of the original Hare Polish, Bisbee. Like it's predecessor,  it is inspired by the turquoise mines of Bisbee Arizona. It is a really beautiful, complex polish. The shimmer changes slightly at different angles and lighting, flashing a bright green. The turquoise base has just the right amount of translucence, allowing the glitters to appear as if they are floating. Love, love, love! This is two super easy coats with perfect glitter distribution. It dries to a satin finish, which is really pretty! I topped it off with my usual combo of HK Girl followed by Glossy Glam.

 I would love to see this mattified, but alas my matte tc has gone all goopy and thinner fails to revive it! I am now looking for a new one, so if you have a favorite, please leave a comment!

This is such a great polish, and a fantastic example of why Indie polish is so awesome! Where else would you get such awesome inspiration, and an equally awesome result?! Also, I am kind of ashamed I waited so long to grab this!! What was wrong with me? Thankfully, I have seen the err of my ways.

Pipedream Polish - Green Light

Hey guys and gals! Did everyone recover from their NY celebrations? I am ready for life to resume normalcy a little bit! It may sound kinda bad, but I am not one for hectic days!

 

My awesome haul, from the holidays, is finally starting to be delivered, yay!!! I have so many things to share over the next few weeks, including new stamping stuff!!! Today, though, I have a gorgeous polish from Pipedream Polish's Lorde Gatsby/Winter 2013 collection, called Green Light.

Pipedream Polish - Green Light

 

Green Light is a dark cool toned green (almost teal) jelly loaded with holographic shimmer and glitter pieces. It is incredibly beautiful! The glitter bits literally float in the polish base and the overall effect has such amazing depth. The best part? This is just one coat!!! There were a few places I had to dab a second time to cover light spots, but for the most part, one thick coat covered the entire nail. Because of the amount of glitter in the polish, it is a lot thicker than most other Pipedream polishes, but nothing problematic. If you use a slow careful hand, you should be fine, but if it is too thick for your taste, a little bit if thinner would work wonders. Dry time is great for such a thick polish. I topped this off with a layer of HK Girl, followed by a layer of Glossy Glam. Removal was a little tricky, requiring the foil method and a lot of patience! This is a glitter beast!

Ugh, isn't it just amazing?! I seriously want to swim in it!!! If you have been checking out April's IG or FB account, you probably have seen new swatches of a few polishes that are just like this! I am already thinking of ways to buy them all!

Sweetheart Polish Death Is Only The Beginning Collection

 Hey friends! So after a crazy week, I have a fun new Indie to share with you guys! I was introduced to Cassandra, creator of Sweet Heart Polish, on IG and was given the honor of swatching some polish for her newest collection.

 

Death Is Only The Beginning is a gorgeous set of polishes inspired by the movie, The Mummy. The collection consists of seven linear holographic polishes, and one golden shimmery topper.

Sweetheart Polish - Drink From The Nile

 

Drink From The Nile is a frickin stunning blue jelly with a linear holographic effect. I love this one so hard! It is so amazing, and so lovely. I almost didn't want to take it off after I swacthed it! Formula was really great to work with, as well. I was able to get full coverage with 2 coats, but ended up with 3. The third coat really depend the blue base.

 

 

 

 

Sweetheart Polish - The Book of Amun-Ra

 

The Book of Amun-Ra is actually a golden shimmery topper with holo micro glitters. I was not aware that it was meant as a topper until I started writing my post, lol! This is 3 coats on it's own. Even though it is sheer, I think it's pretty this way too! I am excited to try it out as a topper, now that I know!

 

 

 

 

Sweetheart Polish - Ameniphus

 

Ameniphus is a coppery brown metallic polish with a linear holo effect. I saw this one on IG first and practically started salivating! I love shimmery browns, and add holo, I'm done for! Great formula, and 2 coats for full coverage.

 

 

I am super impressed with the samples of Sweetheart Polish I received. And the rest of the collection looks so beautiful! I am definitely eyeing Oasis Of Ahm-Shere, teal and holo! If you are a holo lover, these are definitely some polishes to check out.

Pipedream Polish Halloween 2013 - She's A Thriller and Feed The Monster

Hey friends! Hope you all are having a fun weekend! Nothing exciting going on here, I'm kinda boring and usually a home body! Though I am really excited for Halloween this Thursday, and have some holiday appropriate polish to share. I sure hope you all aren't tired of Pipedream Polish, because I am definitely not!

Pipedream Polish - She's A Thriller (Halloween 2013)

over Zoya - Darcy/Wet n Wild - The Clock Strikes Orange gradient

 

She's A Thriller is a black and white glitter topper that has circle glitters! Yep, circle glitters. You know I love them! It is of course, a perfect polish. No typical issues, and I even got the larger circles out without having to fish for them! One coat is all that is needed for this amount of coverage, no dabbing at all. Oh, if only all glitter toppers were this good! I decided to do a little Halloween gradient for the base, and it turned out pretty awesome, I think! As far as I know, this is not an LE and there are still some available.

 

 

 

 

 

Pipedream Polish - Feed The Monster (Halloween 2013)

Feed The Monster is an orange, fuchsia and gun metal glitter topper with hex glitters in various sizes. Sadly, this beauty was LE and is now sold out. As much as I hate sharing stuff that is no longer available, I did so for the purpose of overall review and to show the consistency of quality. It is very rare to find a mainstream company that continually puts out top notch products, but this Indie brand is doing that. It is on par with every other Pipedream Polish in my stash, and not a single one has let me down in beauty or performance. So even though, you can't get this particular polish, there is a wonderful selection to choose from, and I know you won't be disappointed!

 

 

I am actually rather spoiled now, by April's creations. But that's okay! Just means that I am getting awesome goodies!

Pipedream Polish - Color Portrait World

 

 Color Portrait World is a deep indigo blue jelly loaded with silver and fuchsia circle glitters in various sizes. So, automatically, I love it because circle glitters, right?! But it goes beyond that. This is definitely one of the most amazing and truly beautiful polishes in my 300+ collection. I even stopped in the middle of swatching to message April and let her know. As with every single Pipedream Polish I own, the formula was outstanding. I was a little worried it would be on the sheer side, but nope, 2 coats and complete coverage. Perfect glitter ratio, though I did have to do some minor fishing for the larger circles, but nothing drastic because there is a ton of them in the bottle. It is also shiny as hell, so I apologize for the glare!

Hare Polish - Read My Biorhythms

Hey guys! So I went and bought another Hare Polish. My wallet isn't too happy, but I sure am!!! I am starting to fall in love with Hare Polish. After spending more time browsing the shop, I am starting to see some really great and interesting colors! Lord help me, all I need is another Indie brand to swoon over! The new fall collection, in particular is especially amazing. Flakies!!! And vintage coin operated boardwalk games! Ugh, so awesome.

Hare Polish - Read My Biorhythms

Read My Biorhythms is a jade green sheer jelly with tiny gold and silver flakies. This is really a swoon-worthy polish. The color is phenomenal, the flakies are to die for, and it is a squishy jelly! It is very sheer, this is 3 coats worth and there is still the tiniest bit of VNL (visible nail line). I didn't mind it, and it was a lot less noticeable in person. The glitter amount was perfect for the sheer formula, from the size to the overall amount in the polish. Expert blending, right here folks. Dry time was fantastic, and even with three coats, there was very little wait time in between.

 

Gah, I just cannot get over this!!! I want to get the rest from the set, they are all really stunning. Zoltar Speaks is waaay up on my "OMGNEED" list, a teal version!!!!

Pipe Dream Polish Time In A Tapestry

 Hey guys! Look another post! I am slowly getting back on track and hopefully soon will be able to post almost daily! Today, I have a swatch from one of my favorite Indie polish brands, Pipedream Polish. I did a review a few months back on three of April's first creations. Since then, she has grown her inventory and offers some of the most unique, and insanely gorgeous polishes you will find in the indie market. I'm serious when I say that I have an enormous wish list, and need a money tree because I want to BUY ALL THE POLISHES!!!!! This is from her fall collection, Like The Weather. And it is one hell of a collection. You will be needing a money tree as well.

Pipedream Polish - Time In A Tapestry

 

Time Is a Tapestry is a teal crelly (cream/jelly) hybrid filled with gold and brown hex glitters as well as iridescent shimmer. It is stunning, folks! Definitely worthy of my top ten list for the year. The gold glitters are incredibly shiny, and the addition of the brown glitters just put me over the top. Unique, lovely and my kind of fall color! As with all Pipedream Polish, this is perfect consistency and application. Despite being loaded with glitter, it applies smoothly with no dragging or clumping. No need to dab, as the glitter covers with perfection. 2 coats for full opacity, and the base is just sheer enough to give the glitter a floating effect. As my dear friend Casey said, "Jelly sandwich in a bottle!"

Not only are the polishes amazing, but so is April, the creator. She is very active in the IG nail community, and has quite the fan base, myself included. I think it makes all the difference when a creator shows a little bit of their self to the world. It gives us, as customers and fans, a unique perspective.

Me.Lissa Lacquer

Hey guys! Sorry for the unintended absence! My kiddo got super sick over the weekend and I was on Mom duty for a few days. But I am still here and I have a fun review to share!

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer is an Indie polish that has a lot of really great glitter bombs - which I received six of and will be reviewing for you lovelies today! Four from the Beach Boardwalk collection and two from the Social Media collection.

Me.Lissa Lacquer - On The Carousel (Beach Boardwalk) over Julep - Lexi

 

On The Carousel is a neon glitter topper with a rainbow of neon glitters in various shapes and sizes. How awesome is this? Super fun and I love it over yellow! Totally bright and crazy! I got lots of compliments when I wore this after swatching. I left it on all day because it made me so happy to look it. Formula was a little on the thicker side since it is a glitter suspension base. I had to use the dab/spread method for application. But it is loaded with glitter, and this is only one coat!

 

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer - Seaside Aquarium (Beach Boardwalk) over Color Club - Wild Cactus

 

Seaside Aquarium is a neon glitter topper with a rainbow of neon glitters in various shapes and sizes. Mostly smaller pieces with a few larger hexes thrown in for contrast. The smaller pieces are predominantly square, again adding to the visual contrast. I love how this isn't your typical neon glitter. There is a lot going on! Same consistency as before, using the dab/spread method. I used one and a half coats for this, filling in any empty spaces on the second go.

 

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer - Top Of The Ferris Wheel (Beach Boardwalk) over Revlon - Urban

 

Top Of The Ferris Wheel is a glitter topper with red. blue. yellow and silver glitters in various shapes and sizes. OMG look at the giant circle glitters! I may have let out an "Ooooh" when I unwrapped this one from the package. It is an easy favorite from the collection, and over a darker base it totally looks like Ferris Wheel lights! Again, it had the same thicker base, but if it is an issue, a little bit of thinner works wonders! I did one dab/spread coat and had to fish for the bigger circle pieces, but oh so worth it. It is amazing!

 

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer - Bike Rental (Beach Boardwalk) over China Glaze - Tart-y For The Party

 

Bike Rental is a neon glitter topper with blue holo square and bar glitters, red, yellow, black and grey circle glitters, as well as neon glitters in various shapes and sizes. There is a lot going on in the bottle! But it works so well together. I love the contrast of the circle glitters against the neons and the surprise squares! I also really don't mind the bars, because I think they go well, and there isn't a whole lot of them. I know I am sounding, repetitive, but same consistency and dab/spread application, as well as having to fish for those dang circles!

 

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer - Internet Stardom (Social Media) over O.P.I. - My Vampire Is Buff

 

Internet Stardom is a glitter topper with teal and orange hex glitters, gold holo micro glitter, and gold and white star glitters. I really like this one a lot. The color combos are great and the stars!!! So awesome. I don't think I picked a good base to layer it over, tho. Something darker would have made the stars really pop. Same as the others, dab/spread & fish. You get the idea! Although it's not intended, I think this would be a great fall glitter. The colors are totally seasonal!

 

 

Me.Lissa Lacquer - QR Code (Social Media) over Wet n Wild - Teal Slowly And See

 

QR Code is a black and white glitter topper with square, rectangle, micro hex, and micro bar glitters. The shapes really capture the feel of a QR Code so perfectly. If you are a fan of black and white glitter, then this is a definite requirement! I did have a bit more issue with this one than the others, however. It seemed thicker, even with thinner added, and spreading out the glitters was a bit more challenging. Nice payoff, tho. I really dig the squares and rectangles! Oh, and your eyes are not crazy, I had a pretty bad break on my ring finger (trying to wrangle my dog) and had to nubbinize my nails. Oh so sad! But they grow out rather quickly.

 

You should definitely check out Me.Lissa Laquer for some awesome toppers. I am in love with the neons and Top Of The Ferris Wheel is a must have!

Glossy Glam a.k.a. The most awesome thing to happen to the nail polishscene since Indies

Hey lovelies! I am super excited about today's post. I don't usually offer a review of top coats, because they are kinda tricky to review. And I go through so many different ones, that I would be spamming the blog with top coat posts. Finding a good solid top coat has been a huge struggle for me. Before Glossy Glam, my favorite was butter London P.D. Quick (which I actually did review, if you are interested), but the price tag was enough to kill my love for it. Every other tc either caused major shrinking or bubbling and the only way I was able to get good results was to add a load of thinner.

 

Glossy Glam hit the Indie marketplace several weeks ago, and it has gotten nothing but amazing reviews. After seeing the wear test from Marta of Chit Chat Nails, I knew I had to try it. Through the help of an awesome nail friend, I was able to get my claws on a bottle of this magical stuff and was completely blown away.

Update: Because I strive to give 100% honest reviews, I feel the need to expand on my initial review. While I still stand behind Glossy Glam, others have had drastically different experiences. It seems that for a majority of people, it works wonderfully, but for quite a few, it has caused smearing, major shrinking and not drying at all. As unfortunate as it is, it is the nature of things. All I can do, is share my experiences, honestly and to the best of my ability. Thank you for giving me a chance to do that.

Glossy Glam over Salon Perfect Pink Mystique - Day 1

 

Glossy Glam is the perfect top coat. I may be exaggerating slightly, but if my finicky body chemistry can get amazing results, then anyone can. It is thin, but not watery or runny. It applies flawlessly, smooth and self leveling. It dries very quickly, to the touch in about a minute and hard set in about 5 minutes. The shine rivals Seche Vite. No shrinking, no bubbling, no problems at all.

 

What really did me in, was how long it lasted. Marta, did a five day wear test, and I wanted to see what kind of results I would get after five days. Let me tell you, five whole frickin days of the same polish is hard. I am in the habit of changing polish at least once a day, sometimes 2-3 depending. Well, I managed four days. It felt like foreeeevvvverrrrrrrr. Ugh, never again.

 

Glossy Glam - Day 4

After four days, it still looked amazing. So shiny and the only sign of a four day marathon was minor tip wear. And that is four days worth of mom life; cleaning, cooking, dishes, gardening, small person wrangling. Amazing.

Pipe Dream Polish - Pink Elephants And Lemonade

 

Pink Elephants And Lemonade is a dusty teal jelly with small matte pink and yellow hex glitters. Such a fun color combo and I instantly fell in love. This is actually the polish I first saw in my Etsy feed, whilst perusing for polish. Definitely unique. Formula was fantastic, a bit thick since it is an Indie, but that's how I like 'em. 2 perfectly smooth coats for full coverage with no drag at all. The amount of glitter is also spot on. With the 2 coats, I was able to get just the right amount out and on my nails.

 

 

 

 

 

Pipe Dream Polish - Candy On The Beach

 

Candy On The Beach is a bright red-leaning coral jelly with red/orange mylar hex glitters in various sizes. Hello new favorite polish! Have I mentioned how obsessed I am with coral polish lately? This one will definitely be one of my go-to polishes this summer! Formula was identical to Pink Elephants, thick and smooth, 2 coats, great glitter distribution. Oh, and those gorgeous mylar glitters? They make the polish glow. It's so pretty!

 

 

 

Pipe Dream Polish - Deep In My Daydreams

 

Deep In My Daydreams is a bright magenta with a subtle purple shimmer and small navy blue hex glitters and blue micro holo glitter. The shimmer is noticeable, but very hard to capture with my camera. It gives the polish the deep glowy look, like it's lit from within. It's so dreamy and very worthy of it's name. The formula was a tad bit thinner than the previous two. Nothing problematic, just enough for me to notice. 2 coats, smooth application, no issues.

 

 

I am wonderfully pleased with all three polishes. They are beautiful, fun colors and great polishes. I can absolutely say that Pipe Dream Polish is a fantastic Indie brand and you should go order yourself a bottle right now!
