Madam Glam Swatch Spam (pt. 2)

Hi everyone! Despite my lack of posting, November is flying by for me. I am on the last two weeks of NaNoWriMo (the reason for my sporadic posting this month) and will hopefully have a completed first draft of a novel by the end of it.

It took a little longer than I originally planned, but I have the second part of my massive swatch/review of Madam Glam polishes.

Madam Glam Swatch Spam (pt.1)

Hi guys and gals! Hope you all are having a great Friday! I am so glad it's the weekend, I need a break from running all over the place! Plus the weather is rainy and chilly, and I loooove to curl up and read on days like this.

Today I have part one of a two part post filled with swatches of polish from Madam Glam. I received a total of eight polishes to review and to save my cuticles and my sanity, I split them into two posts. And because I can't wait, I started with my favorite colors first!

Halloween(ish) Water Marble

Hi friends! OMG I cannot believe it is just a few days until Halloween. And then a month later Thanks Giving and so on until the end of the year. Holy crap time flies when you are an adult.

Anyway, if you follow me on IG, you may have seen a sneak peek at a water marble I was desperately trying to not eff up, and guess what? It was a success! By that I mean I managed to get a water marble design on all of my nails (except my thumb - but we're not gonna talk about that).

Digital Nails Showtime, Synergy

Hi guys and gals! How are you all doing this fine Monday? Today I have a super sparkly polish from an awesome Indie maker here in Austin (and she is a SUPER awesome lady too!). So if your week isn't off to such a great start, maybe a glittery polish will put you in a good mood!

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Wrath Of Julia Child

Hi friends! I feel like I have been running around like the energizer bunny the last few days. Keeping up with the kiddo, writing, and blogging has got me going non-stop. But I am happy to be back posting more regularly. Polish has always been a little slice of color and happiness in my day-to-day routine and I have so much fun sharing it with you all!

Today I have a gorgeous fall shade from Scofflaw Nail Varnish. I tend to be very picky about my fall color choices, but the smokey plums and eggplant purples always do me in. So when I saw  a shade in the fall Scofflaw release that was a muted eggplant purple, my self control went out the window!

Trust Fund Beauty Elegantly Wasted

Hey guys & gals! I have a polish today that I am super excited about. I have wanted to try the brand Trust Fund Beauty for a while now, but always forgot when I was buying stuff on-line. I got a bottle in my September Glam Bag from Ipsy and am now totally hooked. One of the reasons I love Ipsy so much is that I get to try out really good stuff that I either forgot about or never thought to try (still loving the LA Fresh Good Night cream omg).

So I wore this beauty for a few days (it is even making an appearance in my TT mani for tomorrow) and am totally smitten!

Takko Lacquer Summer 2015 Collection Part 2

Hey guys and gals! Today I have the second part of the new Takko Lacquer summer collection! On Monday, I showed you all the neons and bright of the bunch, and now I have a nude, a pastel and a jelly, oh my!

I also have for review the new Takko Lacquer top coat! Since all takkitos are now infused with Vitamin E, they dry down to a satin finish, and need to be topped with a glossy top coat to bring out the beauty of the polish. Sugar High is a high shine scented top coat give all takkitos that glossy finish!

Twinsie Tuesday: Blobicure

Hey y'all! Today's post is gonna be a quick one. I am still knee deep in getting part 2 of the new Takko Lacquer colors ready for tomorrow, but I had to make sure that my portion of this week's Twinsie Tuesday post was up! The theme for today is Blobicure! I recently did a 'blobicure" for another TT post and I really liked the results, but wanted another go at it.

Rescue Beauty Lounge Pretty Gritty (Refinery 29 Collaberation)

Hey y'all! So it has been far too long since I have posted about RBL. I honestly just haven't had it in my budget to spend that kind of money on polish, but when Ji has a sale, then I do tend to take advantage! That's what I did last time around. A few months ago, there as a 40% off sale on a lot of the RBL catalog and I snagged one of the newer shades on my wishlist!

Twinsie Tuesday: Jelly Sandwich

Hi friends! Hope you all are having a wonderful start to your week! I am feeling a bit frantic, honestly. So many things are going on right now, lots of social/school stuff that has left me little overwhelmed! I am more of an introvert and prefer the comforts of home to a crazy, busy social life. But having little things like my blog help to unwind and de-stress from time to time. Even if my posts are a little later than planned.

Speaking of posting later than planned, I finally have today's Twinsie Tuesday post done! Technically it was supposed to publish this morning at 8am...but I suck. Anyway, the theme this week is Jelly Sandwich! Like most nail aficionados, I love a good jelly!

Ethereal Gradient NOTD

Hey y'all! So I actually did some nail art that isn't related to my TT posts! Not to say that I don't being a part of the Twinsies, but it has been a long time since I have felt inspired to do much nail art outside of our weekly prompts. But I seem to have come out of my slump! Hopefully this creative energy will stick around a while!

Twinsie Tuesday: Polish Received In A Swap

Hey guys and gals! Hope you all are doing well and staying warm! It is cold here in my little part of the world, and if it is cold here, then it is frigid everywhere else!

Today's Twinsie Tuesday theme is "polish received in a swap" and I happen to have quite a few awesome polishes from swaps with my fellow Twinsies! The two I decided to use for today's post came from Jessica and a former Twinsie - Cordia.

Hare Polish Rosa Meditativa Gold Label

Hey guys and gals! Hope you all are having a very happy Monday! As I mentioned a few posts back, I have built up a few untrieds over the last couple of months, and I am on a mission to swatch them all! There's not really a whole lot, I think I have just a few more posts after today. But I like having a swatch resource on the blog, so I am making my way through and doing just that.

Today's polish is from one of my fav Indie brands - Hare Polish. Nikole consistently creates beautiful and unique polish. Rosa Meditativa from the Surreal New Year collection (three gorgeous polishes inspired by Salvador Dali) is no exception. I was lucky enough to snag a gold label from the initial NY launch, yay!

Oh, by the way, I am back to rounded nails. I have come to the realization that squares aren't for me. I prefer the way they look when rounded and have a lot less trouble with breaks and things. So yay for round nubbins! I cannot wait for them to grow out a bit more so I can properly shape them. Ahhh...the life of a nail blogger, lol!

KBShimmer Happily Ever Aster

Hi friends, a very happy Monday to you all! Last year, I really slacked off on my swatch posts. Lest than half the polish I got ended up here on my blog. So as part of my "blogger resolutions" I am trying to be more active with my swatch posts and putting more content up.

I am starting with my untrieds from the holidays. I received an excellent gift package full of KBShimmer goodies from a Secret Santa swap the Twinsies had this year. Along with some nail/skin care goodies (omg the KBShimmer scrub is amazing!) I got two polish from the spring 2014 collection that were on my wish list. So today I have swatched Happily Ever Aster!

Please Note: Products shown were gifted to me by a fellow polish lover for my personal use.

Digital Nails Serenity

Hey y’all! Happy Wednesday! I have more indie polish goodies to share today. Truth be told, I have been sitting on this beauty for a long time.  But this time I actually remembering to take photos after I used it! I got this several months ago at an Austin nail meet up from Raph - the owner/creator genius behind Digital Nails. She is really one of the sweetest, coolest people and we both share a deep love for all things nerdy. Her polish is not only beautiful, but heavily inspired by geeky/nerdy culture - Serenity is named after the ship in the cult fav show Firefly.

Twinsie Tuesday: Pond Mani

Hello guys and gals! Welcome to the first Tuesday of the new year! The Twinsies took a break over the holidays, but we are back for our weekly themed posts. And we even have new members! Welcome Amanda (from  Fashion Footing), Beckie (from Polished by Beckie ) and Savannah (from Addicted to Polish)! I am super excited to get to know you girls and see your awesome posts every week!

This week’s theme is a pond mani - a design layered in between jelly polish so that it appears to be floating.  This is a fairly new technique in the nail world and I was super excited to try it out!

Twinsie Tuesday: Your Least Favorite Polish

Hey guys and gals! Today's Twinsie Tuesday post is kinda of a fun one - depending how you look at it. The theme is our least favorite polish and I am really excited to see what everyone comes up with. I am such a fiend that I really don't have a least favorite in my stash. I love them all!! I had to o through my destash box to find something worth posting about, lol!

Back when I first started blogging and I had no idea about certain brands of polish, I would buy things just because they looked pretty. And they all looked pretty, so I basically got a lot of crap. My first big disappointment came from Klean Color.

Zoya Madeline Fall/Winter 2014 Color Trend

Hey guys and gals, happy Friday! Who has exciting weekend plans? Mr. APN has a softball game tonight, and then it is a nice boring weekend for us. I love slow weekends, lol!

Today's color trend post is one that I wasn't planning to like. Mauve Mist isn't exactly a color that I am immediately drawn to on it's own. Pairing it with more interesting shades from the Fall/Winter color palette suits my taste more, so I wasn't expecting to really like the color in polish form. Zoya Madeline from the Natural Deux collection changed my mind.

Fall Hued Saran Wrap Mani Plus Tutorial

Hey guys and gals! Hope your week is going well, mine is great so far, but I am ready for the weekend! So at the beginning of September, I was asked by Nailpolis to create a tutorial for their new e-zine. They wanted me to re-create one of my more popular looks, the Saran Wrap mani I did over the summer. I have wanted to do more tutorials lately and this is by far one of my favorite/easy techniques, so naturally I said yes!

Austin Pride 2014

Hey y'all! This weekend is Austin Pride and every year I do a little nail art to celebrate. I love the LGBTQ community here and this is my little way of showing support.
